Exterior Water Service Line Coverage

Eligibility: An owner of both a residential single structure permanently secured to the ground and the land it is located on may be eligible for coverage. You are not eligible if your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your exterior water service line before enrollment; or your entire exterior water service line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace an exterior water service line that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, from your property boundary or external wall of your well casing to the external wall of your home that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Restoration to your pavement, yard or landscaping disturbed as part of a covered repair is included, up to the benefit limit.

Not covered: Branch lines, frozen lines, restoration to water structures, pastures or wooded areas; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.

Exterior Sewer/Septic Line Coverage

Eligibility: An owner of both a residential single structure permanently secured to the ground and the land it is located on may be eligible for coverage. You are not eligible if your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your exterior sewer/septic line before enrollment; your entire exterior sewer/septic line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like; your exterior sewer/septic line previously had roots removed or failed a smoke or dye test without resolution. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace a sewer line that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, from the external wall of your home up to your property boundary, or septic line from the external wall of your home up to the point of connection to the septic tank on your property, including branch drains from the point they exit the home to the point they re-enter the home, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Repair or replacement of non-functioning backflow prevention devices is also included. Restoration to your pavement, yard or landscaping disturbed as part of a covered repair is included, up to the benefit limit.

Not covered: Septic/collection tanks; leaching fields; grinder pumps; non-conforming drain lines; branch lines; restoration to water structures, pastures or wooded areas; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. guaranteed survival of living materials; restoration to: any part of your property not disturbed by a covered repair; an entire paved surface in order to match color or texture; buildings, sheds, garages, or any other structures, sprinkler/irrigation systems, ponds, waterfalls, or other water structures, fields, meadows, pastures, or wooded areas, or any plant life that has died or failed to grow due to lack of care or maintenance; restoration to damages, excavations, or disturbances to your property, that existed prior to the covered repair; and damages from accidents, negligence or otherwise, caused by you, others or unusual circumstances, meaning a natural disaster, act of God, hostilities or work slowdowns; excluded damages, including any damages necessary to reasonably access the repair area; correction of, or reimbursement for, any repairs or restorations made by you or anyone you hire not authorized by us, or when no operational failure has occurred; replacement, correction, upgrade or move in order to meet any code, law, regulation; ordinance or utility directive; any section that is shared with a third party or is covered by a homeowners’, condominium, or like association; and repair or replacement of any sections or parts or any restoration not stated to be covered in the Terms and Conditions. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions. Additional exclusions apply.

Interior Plumbing and Drainage System Coverage

Eligibility: An owner of a residential single structure, or a unit within a structure, that is not intended to be moved may be eligible for coverage. If you own a multi-family home or multiple housing units, you must provide the specific mailing address for each service agreement you purchase. You are not eligible if your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your interior plumbing and drainage lines before enrollment; or your entire interior plumbing and drainage line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the interior plumbing and drainage lines that have experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, that are damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence.

Not covered: Appliances, fittings and fixtures; vent stacks; pressure reducing valves; backflow prevention devices; pumps or grinders; non-conforming drain lines; frozen pipes; fire suppression and other sprinkler systems, irrigation systems, distribution piping such as for radiators and heating systems, condensate drain lines for cooling systems; and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances. Additional exclusions apply. Disputes resolved by arbitration, without class action or jury trial, unless otherwise stated in your full Terms and Conditions.

Water Heater Repair Plan

Eligibility: An owner of a residential single structure, or a unit within a structure, that is not intended to be moved may be eligible for coverage. If you do not buy a plan for every water heater you own, you must designate at enrollment the water heater your plan covers, or the plan will cover the first water heater for which you make a service call. If you own a multi-family home or multiple housing units, you must provide the specific mailing address for each service agreement you purchase. You are not eligible if your property is used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your water heater before enrollment; your entire water heater is shared with a 3rd party or covered by a homeowners’ association or the like; or your water heater is commercial grade, larger than 100 gallons, tankless, solar, geothermal, oil, rooftop, hanging tank-based, or combination home heating/domestic hot water unit; or is not installed according to manufacturer specifications. In IA, properties with more than 4 dwelling units are not eligible.

Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair the electric, natural gas or propane water heater that has experienced an operational failure, for which you have sole responsibility, that is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence. Coverage provides for repairs only. Your water heater will not be replaced.

Not covered: Jacket and interior doors, exhaust venting, expansion tanks, non-flexible water supply and delivery piping, electrical service wiring, damage due to restricted lines or water pressure over 80 P.S.I, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others or unusual circumstances.
